The greatest Love of all which is the first commandment is “Love the Lord God with all your heart and soul!” The second is “Love your neighbour as yourself” Leviticus 19:18.
You may well be asking who is my neighbour??? well it could be those who are less fortunate than you, the homeless , family, friends, your enemies, yes I said it your ENEMIES, people who have hurt you, people in prison, we should learn to forgive!!
Forgiveness is a big thing. Once you have mastered the art of forgiving you can be free from pain, diseases and stress. Love should conquer all.
Love is more than simply a warm feeling: it is an attitude that reveals action!!
Love is helping when it’s not convenient, by giving when it hurts by devoting energy to others without complaining or fighting back.
This kind of Love is hard to do. That’s why people notice when you do it and know you are empowered by a supernatural force.
You’ve got to remember that God gave the greatest Love of all, his son Christ Jesus who died on the cross, but rose again so we could have life and have it more abundantly.
1 Corinthians 13:1 says: “Love suffers long and is kind, Love does not envy, Love does not parade itself, Love is not puffed up, does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil, does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in truth, bears all things, believes all things, hopes in all thing endures all things.”
The big question is do we hold any of the negative thoughts in our minds?? If so we need to eliminate them ASAP and renew our minds!!! Which is a daily process.
Our society confuses Love and lust, unlike lust, God’s kind of Love is directed outward towards others, not inward towards ourselves. We need to set aside our own desires so that we can give Love without expecting nothing in return.
Be inspired then make necessary changes for 2013!
